  1. My name is Amy, and I live in a suburb of Chicago.  Me
  2. In my life, I moved 18 times. I’ve lived in 5 different states, and 11 different cities.
  3. The states I’ve lived in are: Michigan, California, New York, Connecticut, and Illinois.
  4. I have an Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Middle School Education (I’m qualified to teach self contained K-9th with endorsements in language arts, social science, and Spanish), and a Master’s of Library and Information Studies.
  5. I’m a librarian who manages a branch library in the suburbs of Chicago.
  6. My son Logan was born on 09.09.89 and is 23 years old. When we go places together, people often think we’re brother and sister :)
  7. My husband Todd and I were married on 09.10.11. We picked that day because the numbers are in a row. You can read all about it at Amy & Todd Got Married!
  8. When the three of us go out to eat, waitstaff offer to split our checks because they think we’re three friends going out to eat. 3 of Us

  10. My favorite color is green, and I still remember the exact moment in the 1970s when I decided that green would be my favorite color.
  11. Although green is my favorite color (maybe because of longevity), robin’s egg blue is a color I adore and surround myself in.
  12. I was once kissed by a killer whale at Sea World on my 8th grade class trip to St. Louis.
  13. In regard to #10, I am often the person picked out of the crowd to be a “volunteer.” I think it must be because I try to look interested, even when I’m not, and performers hone in on that.
