#ThankStitching No. 19 with Julie Clark
I am thankful for stitching to fill the need for busy hands. I love to stitch–whether it be counted cross-stitch or embroidery. My mother and grandmother created handwork with needles and encouraged me to create also.
I love starting with a beautiful piece of linen and ending up with a work of needle art as the finished piece. I have a deep love for birds and nature and have completed several pieces that have that theme. By entering the completed cross-stitch pieces in the local county fair, I hope to inspire others to pick up a needle and hoop!
#ThankStitching is a project to collect and curate reasons why stitchers worldwide are thankful for their particular needle craft. Look for daily posts in November with hourly posts on Thanksgiving Day.
