#ThankStitching No. 47 with Natalie Lymer
Working from home and raising two children it’s sometimes hard to remember that I need time out too. There is nothing better than making time at the end (or in the middle) of a busy day to hand stitch. I love the process, from sketching the designs to searching through my thread box and finding the perfect floss combination and repetitive motion of needle & thread. I find it calms my mind and centers my thoughts, to me it’s meditative.
Sometimes life gets absorbed in social media, the desire for instant gratification and the general busy-ness of family life. To allow yourself to switch off, tune out and lose yourself in the process of stitching is soul searching & what I love the most #thankstitching
#ThankStitching is a project to collect and curate reasons why stitchers worldwide are thankful for their particular needle craft. Look for daily posts in November with hourly posts on Thanksgiving Day.
